Meet The Host

Andrew Turner caught the "wine bug" early on in his twenty-plus year career as a chef. As his cooking career took him to far off and exotic locales, his knowledge and thirst for great wine only increased. Some chapters of his career in the kitchen were dictated by living in some of the great wine producing regions of the world. For over five years, Andrew has been at the helm of the dynamic and unique Ponzi Wine Bar in Dundee, Oregon, where he has become known as the "concierge" of the Oregon wine community. In the Spring of 2008, Andrew was invited to act as a judge for the fourth annual Portland Indie Wine Festival. Working for such luminaries as Robert Sinskey Vineyards in the Napa Valley and for Ponzi Vineyards in Oregon's Willamette Valley helped to cement his philosophy that wine should be approachable to everyone and that good food, laughter and fun should always be a part of the equation!
